Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-22

Summary

RuckTrack does not collect, transmit, store on remote servers, or share any personal data. The app runs entirely on your Garmin watch. Meridian operates no servers, has no companion phone app, runs no analytics, and uses no third-party SDKs. Meridian has no access to any data from your device.

What the app stores on your watch

RuckTrack stores the following in your watch's local app storage (Garmin's Application.Storage API):

This data never leaves your watch through any path operated by Meridian.

Sensor data during an activity

While recording a ruck, RuckTrack reads sensor data from your watch — heart rate, GPS position, altitude, motion — to compute and display live metrics. This data is written to the activity's standard FIT file, which is created and managed by Garmin's built-in activity recording system.

What happens to your FIT file

If you use Garmin Connect on your phone or computer, Garmin Connect may sync the FIT file from your watch to Garmin's servers. This sync is performed by Garmin's software under Garmin's Privacy Policy, which is separate from this policy. Meridian has no role in or visibility into this sync.

FIT contributor fields

RuckTrack writes additional load-aware fields to the activity's FIT file (ruck calories, unloaded calories, pack bonus, burn rate, terrain, treadmill mode and incline, pack weight). These fields are visible in Garmin Connect under the activity's Stats → Connect IQ section. They follow the same path and policies as any other FIT data on your activity.

Children

RuckTrack is intended for adult users. The app does not knowingly collect or process data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes on the Garmin Connect IQ Store.
